Nazmin Akthar

Co-Chair & Co-Founder

Nazmin is a lawyer, women's rights campaigner and has been a trustee (and now Co-Chair) of the award-winning charity Muslim Women's Network UK for 10 years. She has contributed particularly by providing advice on governance as well as writing policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance such as with charity law, employment law, equalities law and financial laws including sufficient insurance cover. Nazmin also has expertise in transparency and accountability. She will bring this wealth of experience and learning to NGF. Nazmin also has working knowledge of utilising external communications such as social media channels. She will bring advocacy expertise of using beneficiary information and learnings to share with other in the sector and policy / decision makers in government through reports and evidence based recommendations.
