Iram is a GP with and has been a trustee (and Treasurer) of the award-winning charity Muslim Women's Network UK (MWNUK) for 12 years. She is also a trustee at the renowned multimillion-pound charity, Passage, which works with some of the most vulnerable in society. Iram has a particular expertise in safeguarding, managing risk and also financial oversight. She will also be a lead for these areas at NGF where she will be the Safeguarding Lead, reviewing and identifying any risks and recommending appropriate actions to mitigate risk. She also has a Diploma in Tropical Medicine & Hygiene and has previous experience of working in Pakistan during one of the disasters. She will therefore be able to particularly advise on and shape our women's and girl's health-related work.
